WINDERMERE Training Camp 2025

Lambton RCs second Windermere residential training camp took place between the 9th-13th August 2025.

48 rowers attended the camp, juniors and adults, and we were joined by athletes from Cambois RC, Berwick ARC, Talkin Tarn RC and a special guest rower from France.

The 5 am rows once again proved very popular despite the early wake up time, the experience of boating on a beautiful calm lake with the moon still in the sky, and then rowing across the misty water as the sun rises is hard to beat. 

The format was similar to the previous year;  3 rowing sessions per day with video feedback in the evenings including forward planning sessions; a cinema trip; a 12k jog around the lake for some of the adults; pasta, pancakes and hot dogs in the evenings for the juniors; fish and chips and trips to the pub for the grown ups.

The weather was fantastic and the general consensus at the end of the camp was that this was the best yet! We are looking forward to next year already.
